Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park Foundation Inc. is located in Groton, Connecticut and is dedicated to preserving the history of the Revolutionary War. It is located on the site of the Battle of Groton Heights, where British troops under the command of Benedict Arnold defeated the Colonial forces in 1781. The Foundation was established in 1987 to maintain the Park’s historic integrity, promote its educational purpose, and provide support to the State of Connecticut.

The Park is a 28-acre site which includes an 18-acre battlefield, two monuments, and a memorial garden. The monuments include a granite obelisk dedicated in 1826 to commemorate the battle and a bronze tablet, erected in 1851, honoring the defenders of the fort. The memorial garden includes a bronze sculpture depicting a colonial soldier, a stone wall, and a large bronze plaque, which honors the fallen soldiers.

The Park also offers a variety of educational programs, such as guided tours, lectures, and reenactments, as well as special events such as the annual Connecticut Revolutionary War Weekend. Through its various programs, the Park Foundation strives to help visitors appreciate the importance of the Battle of Groton Heights and the sacrifices of the soldiers who fought there.
