Historically Black College Alumni in New London, CT have made a profound impact on the community. Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) are educational institutions that were founded to provide higher education to African Americans. There are currently six HBCUs located in Connecticut, including Central State University, Lincoln University, Piney Woods Country Life School, and Tougaloo College.
