The Georgetown Energy Museum is a small museum located in Georgetown, Colorado that showcases the history of energy production in the area. The museum is housed in a historic building that was once the Georgetown Power Plant, which provided electricity to the town from 1900 to 1960.

The museum features exhibits on the various forms of energy production that have been used in Georgetown over the years, including hydroelectric, coal, and gas. Visitors can learn about the history of the power plant and see artifacts and equipment used in energy production, including generators, turbines, and boilers.

One of the highlights of the museum is a working model of the original hydroelectric generator that powered the town in the early 1900s. Visitors can also see a vintage diesel generator and learn about the role of coal in energy production in the area.

In addition to its exhibits, the Georgetown Energy Museum offers educational programs and tours for school groups and other organizations. The museum is open to the public from May to October and is staffed by knowledgeable volunteers who are happy to share their knowledge and answer questions about energy production in Georgetown.
