Welcome to Yuma County, Colorado This is as far into Yuma County as I got in an extremely late night county collecting trip. Yuma County is the 14th most extensive of the 64 counties of the State of Colorado of the United States. The county population was 9,841 at U.S. Census 2000. The county seat is Wray. The point where the Arikaree River flows out of Yuma County and into Cheyenne County, Kansas is the lowest point in the State of Colorado at 1,010 meters (3,315 feet) elevation.
