The Huerfano County Historical Society (HCHS) is a non-profit organization located in Walsenburg, Colorado. Founded in 1975, the Society's purpose is to preserve the history and culture of Huerfano County. HCHS works to achieve this goal through collecting and preserving local artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials. The Society also operates a museum and research center, which is open to the public.
