The Mono Basin Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Lee Vining, California. It was founded in 1987 and is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Mono Basin area. The society's mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history of the Mono Basin and its surrounding areas with the public.

Mysterious Symbol Mysterious to me, anyway. It may have significance to the decedent.
Unknown That day's combination of harsh light and imperfect camera settings made focusing a challenge. This photo was meant to have the marker in focus, but I like how it turned out anyway.
Hu Gwa Tee A very old burial ground in the eastern Sierra. Most of the decedents are native Americans. I do not recommend trying to go here as the "roads" are unpaved, unmaintained, and may leave you stranded.
