Puzzled Cows near Yosemite We were stuck in the mud in the Jeep. Steve hiked out to rte. 120 to get help. (No cell service.) I stayed with the Jeep. Near sunset, the cows came down the road and stopped dead in their tracks; &quot;Why is that Jeep blocking the road? We want to get to our bedding-down place!&quot; (Open grazing, common in the Western USA.) There were about a dozen in all, and they took to a more difficult pathway to get around me. Steve was back in 2 hours with a guy with a big mother truck who hauled us out. He was just laid off from a newly-closed towing company and was glad for the paid work.
