The Ringgold Historical Foundation (RHF) is a non-profit organization located in Ringgold, Virginia, dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the town and its surrounding communities. Founded in 1984, RHF has been preserving and interpreting the history of Ringgold, its people, and the surrounding area for more than 30 years.

RHF is dedicated to preserving the unique history of the town, including its early settlers, the Civil War, and its famous Appomattox Court House Historic Site. They strive to provide educational opportunities to the community through a variety of activities and programs. RHF also works to preserve the town's historic sites, including the Appomattox Court House Historic Site, the Ringgold Iron Furnace, and the nearby Clover Hill Village.

The Ringgold Historical Foundation is composed of a volunteer board of directors who work to maintain the organization's mission and goals. They also provide educational programs and activities for the community, such as field trips, lectures, and workshops.

The 1897 Boatwright-Moore House in Danville, Virginia is more in the Queen Anne mode that Colonial Revival, which is given as the style in the National Register of Historic Places 2015 update to the Danville Historic District. The location is 142 Sutherlin Avenue. The asymmetrical front façade has several interesting details--a shingled, pedimented steep-pitched front gable with centrally located Palladian windows, a 2-story bay with narrow side windows and a large central window on each level and topped with a balustrade with square balusters, and a pointed semi-circular porch with a slight wrap-around feature and a gently sloping roof--but with no finial. The porch roof is supported by slender Doric columns on square piers; the railings are turned, and the entrance is double-leaf wooden doors with large glass panes. The house number prominently displayed in transom. A pair of narrow windows are situated above the porch roof in a part of the front façade which is slightly recessed from the plane. Two brick chimneys are visible from one side of the house as is the cross-gable roof. An odd single course of fish-scale shingling is visible in the side gables. Windows on the side facades are quite narrow. An entrance on one side is at the top of a short flight of wood steps. The house is 3,230 square feet and has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.
