The Francis Makemie Society is a non-profit organization based in Onancock, Virginia. The society was established in 1975 to preserve and promote the legacy of Francis Makemie, who is widely considered as the father of Presbyterianism in the United States.

The society operates the Francis Makemie Center, which is a museum and research center dedicated to the life and work of Makemie. The center features exhibits on Makemie's life, as well as the history of Presbyterianism in America. The museum also includes a library with a collection of books, documents, and artifacts related to Makemie and Presbyterianism.
