In the distance is the statue representing Buddha’s leaving life and attaining Nirvana. Unfortunately I did not take a closer picture of the statue of an emaciated figure that is next to the three tall trees on the right side of the picture. Per the <u><a href="https://s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/stockton-2019/images/Files/stockton_cambodian_buddhist_temple_guide.pdf" rel="noreferrer nofollow">guide</a></u>, this represents the privileged prince’s (Siddhartha’s) efforts to become an ascetic (before he became Buddha) by fasting and meditating for six years. I saw no description in the <u><a href="https://s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/stockton-2019/images/Files/stockton_cambodian_buddhist_temple_guide.pdf" rel="noreferrer nofollow">guide</a></u> of this figure which seems to be representing a bloodied male.
