I'm very glad I traveled to the center line so I could get shots of the moon covering the exact center of the sun, but compared to seeing the brilliant corona in a full eclipse these seem lackluster. Being there was worth it all, however, and I would do it again without hesitation! Once I get all the photos into this album I'm sure they will have a greater impact...

The Shooting Star Museum in Devine, TX is a museum dedicated to preserving and displaying the history of the Texas Hill Country. The museum was founded in 2003 by the Devine Historical Society, with the goal of showcasing the area's unique past. The museum is housed in a historic building that was originally built in 1885 as a one-room schoolhouse. This tells the story from my vantage point along the centerline in Hondo, Texas. It included some clouds moving through around 11:50 - pictures 3 & 4 from the left.
