I'm very glad I traveled to the center line so I could get shots of the moon covering the exact center of the sun, but compared to seeing the brilliant corona in a full eclipse these seem lackluster. Being there was worth it all, however, and I would do it again without hesitation! Once I get all the photos into this album I'm sure they will have a greater impact...

The Quihi & New Fountain Historical Society is a nonprofit organization located in Devine, Texas. EclipseSequence_lg This is a composite of 9 images taken over 37 minutes (11:36 am to 12:13 pm) of the "Ring of Fire" eclipse - October 14th, 2023. This tells the story from my vantage point along the centerline in Hondo, Texas. It included some clouds moving through around 11:50 - pictures 3 & 4 from the left.
