The Historic Old Pickens Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Salem, South Carolina. It was established in 1967 with the purpose of preserving and promoting the history and cultural heritage of the Old Pickens District. The Old Pickens District was a county created in 1828 and included parts of present-day Pickens, Oconee, and Anderson counties.

The foundation operates the Historic Old Pickens Jail and Courthouse, which was built in 1828 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The jail and courthouse served as the seat of government for the Old Pickens District until its dissolution in 1868.

The foundation also maintains the Hagood-Mauldin House, which was built in 1856 and served as the home of several prominent families in the area. The house is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In addition to preserving historic buildings, the foundation offers educational programs and events to promote the history and culture of the Old Pickens District. The foundation is run by a board of directors and relies on donations and support from the community to carry out its mission.
