The South Carolina Baptist Historical Society (SCBHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and heritage of the Baptist faith in South Carolina. Located in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, SCBHS was founded in 1979 and is committed to preserving the state’s Baptist history through exhibits and educational programs.

The Society is housed in the historic North Greenville Baptist Church, which was built in 1848 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors to the Society’s museum can explore exhibits that cover a wide range of topics including the early history of Baptists in South Carolina, the Civil War, and the Revivals of the 19th century.
