The Jamestown Area Historical Society (JAHS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1972 to promote the history of the Jamestown, Pennsylvania area. The society is dedicated to preserving the area’s rich history, as well as preserving its historical buildings and artifacts.

The society collects and preserves documents, photographs, artifacts, and other items from the area which are used to illustrate and explain the history of the area. The JAHS also works to preserve the area’s historical buildings, such as the Jamestown Fire Hall and the Jamestown Opera House. They also have a museum that is open to the public and which displays artifacts from the area’s past.

The JAHS also hosts a number of events throughout the year. These events include public lectures, educational programs, and historical tours. They also host an annual history fair in Jamestown.
