The Venango County Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1907, the Society's mission is to preserve and promote the history of Venango County and its people. The Society operates out of the Venango County Historical Society Museum, which is located in a restored 1865 mansion.

The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts and documents that tell the story of Venango County's rich history. Visitors can explore exhibits on topics ranging from Native American life to early settlers, the oil industry boom, and the Civil War. The museum also features a research library where visitors can access historical documents and genealogical records.

In addition to its museum, the Venango County Historical Society sponsors a variety of educational programs and events throughout the year. These include lectures, workshops, and guided tours of historic sites in the area. The Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Venango County Historical Society Chronicles, which features news and articles on local history.
