The Springs Historical Society of the Casselman Valley (SHSCV) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Springs, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. Founded in 1971, the SHSCV operates the Springs Historical Center and the Springs Museum, which are both located in Springs.

The Springs Historical Center is a modern facility located on Main Street, which houses the Society’s library, archives, and museum collections. The facility also includes a gift shop and a research center, where visitors can access the Society’s extensive library and archives. The library and archives contain books, photographs, and other documents related to the history of Springs and the surrounding area.

The Springs Museum is located at the intersection of Main and Church Streets, and is open to the public by appointment. The museum displays artifacts from the area’s past, from Native American artifacts to the more recent industrial heritage of the region. Additionally, the museum hosts special events and educational programming throughout the year.

The SHSCV is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Springs and the Casselman Valley, and serves as an educational resource for residents and visitors to the area. The Society is funded through donations, grants, and fundraising efforts, and relies on the help of volunteers in order to continue its mission.
