The Centre County Genealogy Society (CCGS) is a non-profit organization based in State College, Pennsylvania, dedicated to helping individuals discover their family histories. Established in 1998, CCGS has become a recognized leader in the field of genealogy. CCGS has a large membership base with over 500 members from all around the world. Its members include professional genealogists, hobbyists, and those just beginning to explore their family histories.

The CCGS meets every month for a program at the Schlow Centre Region Library in State College, Pennsylvania. The programs often feature a guest speaker, a genealogical research demonstration, or a discussion of a specific genealogical topic. The CCGS also sponsors various educational activities such as genealogy workshops, seminars, and field trips.

The Tree Top Startrail An image of Lyra was photographed through an opening in a dense forest. The photo was taken while camping in Penn Roosevelt State Park just south of State College, PA. The image was made of 46 twenty second exposures. (Canon T2i, Canon 8-15 f/4L lens @ 11mm, ISO 3200) The individual photos were stacked using StarStaX.
