Paving Old Highway 99 at Oakland Bridge Contractors for the Oregon Department of Transportation pave Old Highway 99 at the northwest end of the new Oakland Bridge in Douglas County on April 8, 2024. Construction began in February 2022 and a single lane of traffic was shifted onto the new bridge on February 28, 2024.

The Umpqua Valley Arts Association (UVAA) is a non-profit organization located in Roseburg, Oregon, dedicated to promoting the visual and performing arts within the Umpqua Valley region. The UVAA works to enrich the lives of all members of the community through the arts, as well as to promote the development of the local artistic talent.

The UVAA seeks to build and foster a more vibrant arts community through a variety of events and activities. These include art exhibitions, workshops, classes, and performances. The Association also works with local schools and community organizations to encourage the appreciation and practice of the arts.

The UVAA is a member of the Oregon Cultural Trust and operates under the umbrella of the Umpqua Valley Arts Center. The Association is supported by memberships, donations, grants, and other fundraising activities. The UVAA is governed by a board of directors who are elected by the membership.

The UVAA works to ensure the growth and sustainability of the arts in the Umpqua Valley region by offering a variety of programs and services that promote the appreciation and practice of the arts. The Association also works to ensure that the arts remain accessible to all members of the community.

The UVAA is committed to cultivating a vibrant and diverse arts community in the Umpqua Valley area by providing resources and access to local and regional artists. Through its efforts, the Association hopes to foster a more vibrant and creative community for all.
