The Yukon Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Yukon, Oklahoma. The facility was constructed in 1935 as a New Deal Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) project. FERA's goal was to address unemployment by creating new unskilled jobs in local and state government. City workers and local FERA workers combined efforts to build the pool complex, with FERA labor used for excavation of the pool. The pool closed in 1991 and the pool has since been removed but the bath house remains. The El Reno Municipal Swimming Pool Bath House building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 (NRHP No. 00000178). Preservation Oklahoma listed the abandoned bath house on its’ 1999 and 2015 Most Endangered Places lists.
