Mangum Community Building (Mangum, Oklahoma) Historic Mangum Community Building in Mangum, Oklahoma. Construction on the Rustic Craftsman style building was started in 1935 as a New Deal Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) project. It was completed as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project in 1936. Originally the building housed the Mangum Public Library, a Pioneers’ Museum, clubrooms for civic organizations, an auditorium, kitchen, and a nursery. The Mangum Community Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 (NRHP No. 95000236).
