The Black River Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Lorain, Ohio. Founded in 2002, the society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Black River area in Lorain County.
The Society operates out of the Carnegie Center, a building that was originally constructed in 1913 as a public library. The building was later purchased by the society in 2003 and restored to its original beauty.
