One of us even put on a sweater due to the chill! This and the other pics were taken in Urbana, Ohio, at Freshwater Farms. Total Solar Eclipse - April 8, 2024 This pic was taken with a 300mm telephoto lens with three stacked ND filters. The three filters reduced light by 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 respectively, for a total of 1/512 light transmittance (0.195% of actual light enters the lens). Even with these filters, the photo is over-exposed. The light entering is so strong it bounces inside the lens and produces artifacts - i.e. shadow images of the actual image. #TotalEclipse2024
