The Lafayette Jackson Historical Society was founded in the summer of 1993 in Lafayette, Ohio. The mission of the organization is to preserve and promote the history of the city and its surrounding areas. The Society is a non-profit organization governed by a board of trustees and funded by donations and grants.

The Society is dedicated to preserving the history of the city through research, education and public outreach.
