The Platt R Spencer Meml Archives is a repository of historical records and artifacts located in Geneva, Ohio. It was founded in 1974 and named in honor of Platt Rogers Spencer, a famous calligrapher and inventor of the Spencerian script.

Wrecked Nov 9, 1913 on Port Austin Reef off Pointe aux Barques MI, Lake Huron in the “Big Storm” of 1913 and broke in two. Upbound with coal from Lorain OH for Fort William ON. No lives lost. Abandoned to the underwriters as a constructive total loss. Enrollment surrendered Nov 26, 1913. Salvaged by Reid Wrecking Co., Sarnia ON and towed to Collingwood ON, where she was rebuilt by Collingwood Shipbuilding Co.

Sold 1915 to Great Lakes Transportation Co., Midland ON, James Playfair, Mgr. (home port to Midland ON) and renamed Glenshee.

Sold 1968 to Goderich Elevator &amp; Transit Co., Goderich ON for grain storage in Goderich harbor, retired from active service (home port to Goderich ON) and renamed Lionel Parsons.

Sold 1983 to Western Metals Corporation, Thunder Bay ON. Towed to Thunder Bay and scrapped.
