Friends of China Lake Archaeology is a non-profit organization that was established in Ridgecrest, California in 1990. The organization is dedicated to the preservation and study of the archaeological sites found in the China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station, which is located in the Mojave Desert region of California.

The China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station is a vast military facility that covers over 1.1 million acres, and it contains many important archaeological sites that provide insights into the history and culture of the region. Friends of China Lake Archaeology works closely with the Naval Air Weapons Station to promote the study and preservation of these sites, and to ensure that they are protected from damage and destruction.

The organization conducts regular archaeological surveys and excavations in the China Lake area, and it also provides educational programs and lectures to the public. Friends of China Lake Archaeology is staffed by a dedicated team of volunteers, including archaeologists, historians, and other experts in the field.

The work of Friends of China Lake Archaeology is essential to our understanding of the history and culture of the Mojave Desert region, and it provides an important resource for future generations to learn from and appreciate.
