The centerpiece of the museum is the Victorian-era Hale House. This grand home was built in 1895 and is the oldest standing structure in the Los Angeles city limits. The house was designed in the Second Empire style and features a mansard roof and ornate detailing. The interiors have been carefully restored to replicate the original furnishings and decor.
The museum also includes a variety of other structures, such as a Gothic Revival church, a wooden clapboard house, a railroad depot, and a two-story general store. Visitors can explore the buildings and learn about the history of the area through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities.
