The Museum-Trinity County Society (MTCS) was established in 1990 to preserve the history and cultural heritage of Trinity County, California. The museum is located in Weaverville, the county seat, and houses a variety of exhibits that reflect the area’s past, present and future.

The MTCS offers a variety of programs and events, including educational field trips and lectures, historic walking tours, and hands-on activities such as blacksmithing, gold panning, and basket making.
