The Queens Historical Society (QHS) is a non-profit organization located in Flushing, New York. Founded in 1886, it is the oldest cultural institution in Queens. The Society is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Queens County, New York, and its diverse population.

QHS is housed in the Kingsland Homestead, a historic house museum located in the heart of Flushing. The house was built in 1785 and is a National Historic Landmark. Inside, visitors can explore the home's many rooms, including a kitchen, parlor, and library, to learn more about early life in Queens.

The Society also offers a variety of educational programs, including lectures, walking tours, and workshops, that explore the history of Queens County. On the grounds of the Kingsland Homestead, visitors can take part in a variety of hands-on activities and craft projects.

The Queens Historical Society also maintains an extensive collection of photographs, documents, maps, books, and artifacts related to the history of Queens County. Visitors are welcome to browse the collections, which are available for research purposes.

The Society is also actively involved in preserving the history of Queens County. In addition to conducting research and offering educational programs, the Society works to preserve historic sites and buildings throughout the county.
