Wilderstein is a historic house museum located in Rhinebeck, New York. The mansion was built in the Queen Anne style in 1888 for Thomas Suckley and his wife Catherine. The house was designed by the New York City architectural firm of Schickel & Ditmars.

The property was purchased in 1991 by the Wilderstein Preservation, a non-profit organization that restored the house and opened it to the public as a museum. The mansion is furnished with original family possessions and items from the Gilded Age.

The house is situated on a 40-acre estate overlooking the Hudson River. The grounds include formal gardens, a carriage house, a greenhouse, and a stable. The mansion is surrounded by a park-like landscape that includes woodland trails and meadows.

Wilderstein is open to the public for tours from May through October. Visitors can explore the house and learn about the history of the Suckley family and their connections to the Roosevelts and Vanderbilts. The museum also hosts special events, lectures, and exhibitions throughout the year.
