Andrew Szoeke business card (collection of Martin Pedersen) Szoeke was a Hungarian-American designer who created modern wooden furniture with elaborate inlays (including lettering) in the 1940s–50s. He went to school in Vienna in the 1920s and started his career as a calligrapher, continuing to do work for advertising and book design until his death in 1969. He also designed Hallmark’s crown logo.
