DARWIN D. MARTIN HOUSE

The Darwin D. Martin House is a historic residence located in Buffalo, New York. Designed by renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the house was built between 1903 and 1905 for Darwin D. Martin, a prominent business executive who worked for the Larkin Soap Company. The house is considered one of the most important works of Wright's early career and one of the most significant architectural projects of the 20th century.

The house is a prime example of Wright's Prairie School style, featuring open floor plans, cantilevered overhangs, and long bands of windows that allow natural light to flood the interiors. The house consists of six interconnected buildings and a conservatory, all of which are connected by a series of pergolas and terraces. The main house features a spacious living room, dining room, library, and bedrooms, as well as a two-story portico and balcony. The conservatory is a glass-enclosed structure with a curved roof, and the surrounding terraces feature gardens and outdoor living areas.

The Darwin D. Martin House is a National Historic Landmark and has been undergoing restoration since 1992. It is open to the public for tours and special events, and has been featured in several films and television shows.
