East Hampton Historical is a non-profit organization located in Amagansett, New York. The organization was founded in 1885 with a mission to preserve and interpret the history of East Hampton, the Town of East Hampton, and its surrounding areas. East Hampton Historical works to protect and promote the unique history of the area and its people.

The organization is guided by a volunteer board of directors, and is staffed by a small team of professionals dedicated to the preservation of East Hampton’s past. East Hampton Historical operates several historic sites, including the Thomas Moran House, the Old Hook Mill, and the Thomas & Mary Nimmo Moran Studio. The organization also offers educational programs, walking tours, and lectures to help promote the history of East Hampton.

East Hampton Historical also offers research services to those interested in learning more about the area’s history. The organization’s library and archives house books, photographs, maps, manuscripts, news clippings, and other materials related to the history of East Hampton and its surrounding areas.

East Hampton Historical’s mission is to preserve and interpret the history of the Town of East Hampton, its people, and its surrounding areas. Through its educational programs, research services, and historic sites, the organization aims to help people learn more about the area’s fascinating past.

Andrew Szoeke business card (collection of Martin Pedersen) Szoeke was a Hungarian-American designer who created modern wooden furniture with elaborate inlays (including lettering) in the 1940s–50s. He went to school in Vienna in the 1920s and started his career as a calligrapher, continuing to do work for advertising and book design until his death in 1969. He also designed Hallmark’s crown logo.
