Fort Totten is a historical site located in Bayside, New York. The fort was originally built during the Civil War as a part of the coastal defense system for New York City. It was named after General Joseph Gilbert Totten, the Chief of Engineers for the United States Army at the time.

The fort is situated on a peninsula in the East River, surrounded by water on three sides. It was used as a training camp during World War I and II, and later served as a missile defense site. Today, it is a public park and historical landmark, managed by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

The fort includes several historic buildings, including the Fort Totten Officers' Club, which was built in 1878 and served as a social hub for the officers stationed at the fort. The fort also includes several military structures, such as batteries, barracks, and ammunition bunkers.
