The Joseph Nelson Hallock House is a historic home located in the town of Southold, New York. The house was built in 1765 and is a classic example of colonial architecture. It is a two-story wood-frame house with a gambrel roof and features a central chimney. The exterior of the house is clad in cedar shingles and has a simple, yet elegant design.

The interior of the house is equally impressive, with many original features still intact. The main entrance leads into a large central hall with a staircase on one side. The first floor of the house features a parlor, dining room, and kitchen, all with original wood paneling and fireplaces. The second floor has three bedrooms, a central hall, and a bathroom.

One of the most interesting features of the Joseph Nelson Hallock House is the history associated with it. Joseph Nelson Hallock was a prominent figure in the town of Southold and the house has been in his family for generations. The house was also used as a meeting place during the Revolutionary War and is believed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad.

Today, the Joseph Nelson Hallock House is a popular tourist destination and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house has been restored and is open to the public for tours, providing visitors with a glimpse into the history of colonial life in Southold.

1964 New York World's Fair miniature train This miniature 16 inch gauge train was built by the Alan Herschel Company and delivered to the LIRR exhibit at the New York World’s Fair in March 1964. After being part of the LIRR exhibit at the 1964-65 World’s Fair, the train went to the Grumman Aerospace Corp. Calverton, NY site where it was a featured attraction at the annual Grumman Family Picnic. Upon closing of the Calverton site the train was given to the Village of Patchogue, NY which, in turn, donated it to the Railroad Museum of Long Island in Riverhead, New York were it operates.

Long Island Rail Road Caboose No. C-68 info board This caboose was built for the Long Island Rail Road by Morrison International in 1963 and was used on LIRR freights until the early 1980’s, when it was retired and saved for preservation at the Railroad Museum of Long Island in Riverhead, New York.

Long Island Railroad No. 39's Tender Long Island Railroad No. 39 is one of 31 Pennsylvania Railroad Class G5 4-6-0 steam locomotives built in the 1920s for the LIRR. Currently its boiler and firebox are residing at the Strasburg Railroad awaiting a possible restoration to operating condition one day while the rest of the engine resides at the Riverhead Railroad Museum of Long Island.
