The Historical Society of Hamilton Township Incorporated in Yardville, New Jersey, was formed in 1975 to preserve, protect, and promote the history and culture of the township and its surrounding areas. The Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving and interpreting the history of Hamilton Township and its surrounding communities.

The Society’s main facility is located in the historic Yardville-Groveville School, built in 1916, and is open to the public every Saturday from 1-4 PM. The organization also hosts lectures, workshops, and programs throughout the year. The Society has a large collection of artifacts, photographs, documents, and other materials related to the history of the Township and its residents.

The Society also has a research library which is open to members and the public. The library contains a variety of materials, including books, periodicals, maps, and photographs. The library also has a genealogical section and a collection of Hamilton Township newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries.

In addition to its research library, the Society also has a museum which houses items from Hamilton Township’s past. The museum includes artifacts from different eras, including Native American artifacts, colonial-era furniture and artifacts, and items from the 19th century. The museum also has an interactive exhibit which allows visitors to experience the history of the Township through a variety of interactive displays.
