The Whippany Railway Museum is a unique, family-friendly destination located in Whippany, New Jersey. Established in 1986, the museum offers over five acres of property featuring several historical train cars, locomotives, and other artifacts. The museum is home to the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey 0-6-0 steam locomotive, which was built in 1918. Visitors can explore the cab of the train and learn about its history. In addition, the museum houses several other pieces of rolling stock and locomotives, including a Budd Rail Diesel Car, a 0-4-0 Porter steam locomotive, and a former Central Railroad of New Jersey caboose.

The museum also features a model railroad room with a working model railroad layout, and a restored station building from the former Morris Plains station. The museum offers a variety of educational programs and activities for children, such as a Whippany Train Adventure, a Saturday Morning Train Ride, and a Summer Train Camp. Guests can also enjoy a variety of special events throughout the year, including a Halloween event and Santa visits during the holiday season.
