Delphinium glaucum - Sierra larkspur Delphinium glaucum along the ravine and above the stream banks on the southwest side of Mount Rose, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Washoe County, Nevada. A tall stature (1.5-2 m), stems glabrous and glaucous and thick in the basal region, flowers with deep violet-purple sepals that average about 10-12 mm long and with a stout spur about 8-10 mm long combine to distinguish this larkspur species of moist montane meadows.
