Vikingsholm Mansion is a 38-room mansion located in the Tahoma area of Lake Tahoe, California. It was built in 1929 by Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight, a wealthy widow from San Francisco. The mansion was designed in the Scandinavian style by Swedish-born architect Lennart Palme, and was constructed using local materials. It is a two-story building with a flat roof and is surrounded by a stone wall. Inside, the house has a large living room, a dining room, a library, five bedrooms, and four bathrooms.

The exterior of the house is made from native granite and redwood, and is decorated with intricate carvings and leaded glass windows. It also contains a large stone terrace, two fireplaces, and a stone tower with a balcony. The gardens are landscaped with native plants, and a stream runs through the property.

The interior of the house is decorated with furnishings from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The walls are adorned with wood carvings, tapestries, and other decorations from Scandinavia. The house also contains a collection of Mrs. Knight's artwork and artifacts from her travels around the world.

Vikingsholm Mansion is now a popular tourist destination and is open to the public. Visitors can tour the house and its grounds, as well as take part in special events such as concerts, lectures, and exhibits.
