The History Guild of Daly City-Colma is a volunteer organization that was established in 1973 to preserve the history of Daly City, California and the surrounding area. The Guild promotes historical research, collects and preserves artifacts and documents related to the area’s history, and educates the public on the past of the area. The Guild operates out of the Colma Historical Museum, located in Colma, California in the heart of Daly City.
The Guild holds monthly meetings which feature lectures, discussions, and presentations on local history. The Guild also hosts special events throughout the year, such as the annual Colma Historical Festival and the Annual History Expo. Additionally, the Guild offers tours of local historical sites, including cemeteries, churches, and other landmarks.
The Guild also offers several educational programs such as the Colma History Project and the Colma History Survey, both of which are designed to collect, preserve, and share the histories of Daly City and the surrounding area. The Guild also offers a variety of publications, including books and brochures about local history.
