The Janet Turner Print Museum at California State University, Chico is a unique art museum dedicated to the preservation and display of fine prints and related works of art. Founded in 1977, the museum is home to a renowned collection of more than 7,000 prints and related artifacts. Its holdings include rare and important works by some of the most acclaimed printmakers in the world, including Rembrandt van Rijn, Albrecht Dürer, Francisco de Goya, and Katsushika Hokusai.

The museum honors the legacy of Janet Turner, an acclaimed printmaker and art educator who taught at Chico State for more than 40 years. Turner’s personal collection and works by her students form the core of the museum’s holdings.

The museum offers a range of exhibitions, educational programs, and publications to the general public, students, and scholars. It also serves as a research center and library that includes a wide range of materials related to the history and techniques of printmaking.

The museum is located in the Janet Turner Print Center, a newly-renovated facility that houses the museum, classrooms, and a print studio. It is open Wednesday through Saturday, free of charge, and offers guided tours and hands-on activities for all ages.
