Perris / Perris Theater (# 0018) Opened in 1946, designed in an art-deco style but apparently modified at various times. It’s now owned by the city for its historical value to downtown, but closed due to structural problems.

Kimberly Crest House and Gardens in Redlands CA is a historic Victorian chateau built in 1897 by Mrs. Cornelia Hill, a wealthy widow, who chose the home's location to be able to look out over the entire city. It is a three-story, 16,000 square foot home with an Italianate style of architecture. It has a grand entrance hall, a large living room and dining room, a music room, a library, and several bedrooms. The house has a total of 27 rooms, including the unique attic which was converted into a billiard room.

The gardens around the home are a sight to behold. The grounds feature a grand staircase, brick pathways, and formal gardens with multiple fountains. There are also two gazebos, a large aviary, and a carriage house. The gardens on the grounds were designed by the same architect who designed the home, Elmer Grey.

Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Redlands. It is open to the public and is a favorite venue for weddings, special events, and private tours. The house and gardens have been featured in several films and television shows, including the classic film, "The Graduate." This historic home is a must-see for anyone visiting Redlands.

Perris / SoCal Rail Museum UP 2564 (# 0007) Originally built in 1921 for a Union Pacific subsidiary and traded UP subsidiary “Oregon Short Line” in 1923 where it was used until 1955. Retired in 1959 and wound up at this museum in 1997. See:

The day I visited the museum there was almost no one there, which made it easier to explore the grounds but I didn’t get into any of the car barns. Pictures from visiting those at a previous time are with the tag to Southern California Railway Museum.

KC-10A Extender Conceptualized as the next generation of aerial tankers the KC-l0 combined the tasks of a tanker and cargo aircraft. Carrying more than 356,000 pounds of fuel - twice as much as the KC-135 Stratotanker – 75 personnel, and 170,000 pounds of cargo, the KC-10 could transport entire units of support personnel while re-fueling their deploying fighters enroute. The KC-10 could also be used to transport litter and ambulatory patients using patient support pallets during aeromedical evacuations.

Unlike previous re-fuelers, the KC-10's boom operator controls refueling operations through a digital, fly-by wire system. Sitting in the rear of the aircraft, the operator can see the receiver aircraft through a wide window. During boom refueling operations, fuel is transferred to the receiver at a maximum rate of 1,100 gallons per minute.

The KC-10 fleet was used extensively during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1991, Operation Allied Force in 1999 and during the War on Terror following the September 11, 2001, attack.

The museum’s KC-10 Extender tail number 84-0185 was built in Long Beach California and delivered to the United Sates Air Force, March AFB in September 1984 with subsequent assignments to Travis AFB. It was flown to March Field Air Museum in 2023 for permanent display. It remains on loan from the NMUSAF.
