The Friends of Colonel Frederick W.M.V.Blees Historical Academy (FCFBHA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Macon, Missouri. Founded in 1995, the organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of Colonel Frederick Blees, who served in the United States Army during the Civil War.
The mission of the FCFBHA is to educate the public about the historical significance of Blees and his contributions to the United States of America. The organization also seeks to preserve and promote the history of Macon and its surrounding area, particularly with regards to the Civil War.
The FCFBHA is an all-volunteer organization that works in partnership with the City of Macon, the Macon County Historical Society, and other local organizations to promote the legacy of Blees. The organization also sponsors a variety of educational programs and events, such as the annual Colonel Blees Day celebration.
The FCFBHA also operates a museum dedicated to Blees and his service. The museum includes a variety of artifacts and documents related to his life and service, as well as a library of books and other materials about Blees and the Civil War.
The FCFBHA is committed to promoting and preserving the legacy of Colonel Blees, and to educating the public about the history of Macon and the surrounding area. The organization is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to its members, visitors, and the community at large.
