The Nobles County Historical Society in Worthington, Minnesota is a non-profit organization that preserves the history of Nobles County and the surrounding area. Established in 1963, the Society collects and preserves artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials depicting the history of the county.

The Society is located in the historic Pioneer Village in Worthington. The Pioneer Village is a living history museum complex featuring over 30 historic buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The village includes a schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, a railroad depot, a bank, a general store, a church, and more.

The Society also operates a museum in downtown Worthington. The museum features exhibits that tell the story of the county’s history from the early days of settlement to the present. The museum also houses a research library that contains hundreds of books, maps, and documents related to the county’s history.

The Society offers a variety of educational programs, events, and tours. The programs include lectures, workshops, and demonstrations that teach visitors about the history of the county. The Society also organizes walking tours of the Pioneer Village and downtown Worthington.

The Nobles County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of the county and its citizens. The Society’s mission is to promote a greater understanding of the county’s past and to inspire visitors to learn more about the area’s rich history.
