Freedom Veterans Memorial Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Worthington, Minnesota. The organization was founded in 2011 with the mission of honoring the service of veterans of the United States Armed Forces. The memorial is dedicated to all veterans from the Worthington area and nearby communities who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. The memorial is located in Worthington's Memorial Park and consists of a large granite monument surrounded by a brick walkway. The monument features a large eagle sculpture on top, along with the inscription "Honoring Our Veterans For Their Service and Sacrifice". The brick walkway is lined with granite plaques bearing the names of each veteran from the Worthington area who gave their life in service. The memorial also includes a flagpole, a Veterans Memorial Wall, and a memorial garden. The flagpole flies the United States flag, the Minnesota state flag, and a POW/MIA flag. The Veterans Memorial Wall features plaques honoring those who served in the military and those who gave their lives in service. The memorial garden consists of benches and trees, providing a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance. Freedom Veterans Memorial Inc. provides an important service to the veterans of the Worthington area by honoring their service and sacrifice.
