The Monroe County Council CIO Social and Welfare Association (MCCSWA) is a non-profit organization located in Monroe, Michigan. Founded in 1936, the MCCSWA is dedicated to providing essential social and welfare services to the residents of Monroe County. The MCCSWA provides assistance to individuals, families, and senior citizens in need. They provide a variety of services including food pantries, clothing assistance, transportation assistance, and other social and welfare services. The building features a yellow roman brick exterior with terra cotta trim, a rusticated terra cotta-clad first floor facade, terra cotta belt coursing at the second floor, arched window bays a the first floor, one-over-one double-hung windows, decorative trim surrounds at the windows on the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors, a cornice with modillions and dentils, quoins, arched entrance portals, a rear light court, and a rough-hewn stone base.
