Project Save Armenian Photograph Archives Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Watertown, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1989 by Corinne and Hovsep Keshishian, two Armenian immigrants who wanted to preserve the photographic history of their homeland. The organization’s mission is to collect, preserve and make available to the public, photographs of Armenian life, culture, history and heritage.

Project Save’s collections include images from all over the world, but with a special emphasis on Armenia. The organization has acquired over 25,000 photographs, negatives and transparencies from over 80 countries. The photographs are from private collections, museums, galleries, archives, libraries and other sources. They are organized into a multiplicity of topics including architecture, art, history, politics and everyday life in Armenia.

Project Save has held numerous exhibitions, lectures, workshops and other events to promote the appreciation and understanding of the history and culture of Armenia. The organization also provides educational material to schools and offers research assistance to students, scholars and journalists.

Project Save’s efforts are supported by donations, sponsorships, grants and other forms of fundraising. It is an important institution in the Armenian diaspora and has been instrumental in preserving the photographic heritage of Armenia.
