Our World Children’s Global (OWCG) is an international non-profit organization based in Cohasset, Massachusetts. The organization was founded in 2009 by a group of parents, educators, and professionals dedicated to creating a better world for children by providing educational opportunities and creating meaningful connections between people of different backgrounds. OWCG works to build bridges between diverse cultures and generations through the sharing of stories, experiences, and knowledge.
The organization’s main focus is creating meaningful global relationships through education. OWCG works with local schools, community organizations, and other non-profits to get students involved in global education. Through their Global Connections Program, OWCG provides students with an opportunity to learn about and interact with people from around the world. This includes a variety of activities such as virtual video conferences, global pen pal programs, and field trips abroad.
In addition to the Global Connections Program, OWCG also works to promote global citizenship and social justice through their Global Citizenship Program. This program focuses on teaching students how to become effective global citizens by engaging in critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills. The program also teaches students how to recognize and appreciate cultural differences, while learning how to use technology to connect with people from around the world.
At OWCG, they are committed to making the world a better place for children by providing meaningful opportunities for global education and connecting people from different backgrounds. Their mission is to “empower children to become global citizens, build bridges between diverse cultures, and create a more equitable and sustainable world.”
