The Colossus of Boston H-9 is a large sculpture located in Portland, Maine. It is a bronze and stainless steel abstract sculpture, standing at 37 feet tall, and was installed in April of 1975. It is located in the Monument Square Plaza in the city's Old Port neighborhood.

The sculpture was created by the artist John Dalton, and the design is meant to represent a figure of the Greek god Colossus. The figure is composed of two parts, an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is a curved, abstract figure with a head, arms and legs, while the lower portion is a series of curved and undulating pieces.

The sculpture was commissioned by the City of Portland in 1972, as part of an effort to revitalize the city's old port district. It was designed to be visible from the street and to bring a sense of energy and movement to the plaza. Since then, it has become an iconic symbol of Portland, a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The Colossus of Boston is a popular spot for photos and a reminder of the city's unique history and culture.
