The Historical Society of Wells is a non-profit organization located in Wells, Maine. The society was founded in 1961 with the aim of preserving and promoting the history of Wells and its surrounding areas. The society operates out of the historic Meetinghouse located on Route 1 in Wells.

It doesn’t roll off the tongue like Hill Street Blues, but as I was walking to my office from the parking lot this morning, the fire department rolled. My office is directly to the right of where the ambulance is. I didn’t appreciate the reflections right away, so I missed the truck and the ambulance almost got away. The Durham fire department is actually on campus (basically on the left of this image), so we see them all the time. This morning made me think of the Hill Street Blues theme. One of the great TV show themes.
